Workplace Noise Assessments

Noise in the workplace impacts on the health and performance of employees. The Control of Noise at Work Regulations (2005) requires assessment, applied design and management control measures.

Hodgson & Hodgson Acoustic Consultancy has a UK wide team of trained Acoustic Consultants holding qualifications from the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) who can provide competent and independent assessment of noise levels in the workplace, assess exposure levels, provide advice on noise control engineering and the suitability of hearing protection for employees and provide “expert witness” services.

We offer a range of services tailored to our client’s needs including assessment and measurement with precision sound levels metres and personal dose metres. We appreciate that each individual project has it’s own unique challenges and are experienced in working closely with clients, regulatory bodies and local authorities in complying with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.

We have assessed occupational noise exposure across a range of industries in the UK, including heavy industry and manufacturing, pubs and clubs, healthcare, education and transportation and where we identify the need for noise control, we have assisted in the formation of a noise control action plan and noise awareness training.
