New
Specialist Acoustic Marine Product from Hodgson & Hodgson
Hodgson & Hodgson has announced the launch of its latest specialist
acoustic product, CoustiLam Marine. The
acoustic board is designed for use in small craft where both sound absorption
and sound insulation are needed.
The
new marine product is manufactured from a 5 or 10 kg/m² polymeric
barrier, sandwiched between two layers of Class 'O' polyurethane foam,
with a white reinforced PVC film on the outer surface. It is ideal for
use where there is a combined requirement for sound absorption and sound
insulation, for the comfort of both passengers and crew.
The
CoustiLam range provides high sound transmission loss, with sound absorbing
characteristics, giving an acoustic lining material with exceptional insulation
properties. The range is available with various surface finishes to suit
a wide range of applications. The newly launched marine version has been
fire tested to stringent levels and now meets the very latest marine standards
for fire safety performance.
CoustiLam
Marine is available in standard size sheets, with or without a self-adhesive
backing or can be die-cut to size and shape. It is designed to be used
extensively in the engine rooms, accommodation areas, bulkheads, underdecks
and hull plates of small craft. |
