& H DecoSound Acoustic Panelling.
A range of semi-rigid mineral wool acoustic panels, faced with non-woven
mineral fibre tissue, designed to provide general sound reduction and
thermal insulation in industrial premises and workshops. Where impact
protection is unnecessary, DecoSound acoustic panels can be used for sound
absorption in machine enclosures - specify in clause K13/170.
Characteristics
Dimensions: 1200 x 600 mm (modular). Other sizes are available upon request.
Thicknesses: 30, 50, 80 and 100 mm.
Weight: 1.5, 2.5, 4.0 and 5.0 kg/m².
Acoustic performance: See technical literature.
Thermal conductivity: 0.035 W/m°C at mean temperature of 10°C.
Fire rating: The mineral wool panel is non-combustible according to ISO
1182. Class 1 fire rated surface.
Moisture resistance: Unaffected by humidity - the panels can be installed
in a new building before it has dried out. Bowing will not occur with
these panels in high humidity conditions.
Colours: Available in 8 standard colours.

& H Sportspanel
A range of self supporting, mineral fibre acoustic panels with a woven
decorative facing designed for soffits to leisure buildings. The pervious
surface allows noise to permeate through to the sound absorbent fibre
core. Designed to be fitted either directly to the soffit using standard
accessories or in a suitable suspended ceiling grid - specify suspended
ceilings in clauses K40/110 and 221.
The standard supporting structure consists of main Tee-sections, perimeter
trim channels, cross noggins and hanging brackets designed to be fixed
to the roof steelwork
It is recommended that where there is a risk of impact from balls etc.,
the grid section should be pop-riveted. Panels to be retained in position
with a channel and 4mm plywood backing panel when not secured directly
to the soffit.
