PhonoTrack
Overcomes Boardroom Noise Leakage
Hodgson and Hodgson has installed acoustic products to improve sound quality
and reduce noise leakage in the boardroom of Tullow Oil, a leading independent
oil and gas company. London-based Tullow is a dynamic industry player
and one of the largest independent exploration and production companies
in Europe. Noise leakage from its boardroom and other meeting rooms was
a problem, not to mention a security issue, and the sound quality for
video conferences in these rooms was poor.
Hodgson and Hodgson was asked to come up with a solution for improving
the acoustic performance of these spaces and recommended PhonoTrack,
a decorative stretched fabric acoustic treatment, specifically developed
for internal walls.
The
PhonoTrack installation within the boardroom has produced very pleasing
results, as Jo Spearing of Tullow Oil explained: 'The sound quality within
these rooms has improved greatly and, because sound leakage has been virtually
eliminated, we are happier from a security point of view'. 'The improvement
in the treated rooms has also meant less noise intrusion into surrounding
spaces, so it's a win-win situation,' she said. 'Significantly, Hodgson
and Hodgson was also able to do what other suppliers couldn't, and fit
their product to a curved wall'.
PhonoTrack
is used extensively in recording studios, cinemas, boardrooms, reception
areas, theatres, video conference facilities, audiology suites, art galleries
and auditoria. |
