Acoustic Quilts

Acoustic Quilts are manufactured from either lightweight polyester fibre (PQ Quilts) or glass fibre (SQ Quilts) faced both sides with a choice of fabric finishes designed to meet customer specific requirements. The edges are bound to provide a smooth, neat finish.

They are highly flexible and can be formed into three-dimensional shapes to fit complex contours. They can be designed to incorporate eyelets, Velcro or other mechanical fixings for speedy installation.

Acoustic Quilts provide a high level of acoustic absorption and are available with a barrier core for added insulation. Their inherent thermal insulation properties mean they can be used to reduce hot surface temperatures.

Applications:
Engine compartments of motor vehicles and other plant and equipment

CoustiLam Marine

CoustiLam Marine is manufactured from a 5 or 10kg/m² polymeric barrier sandwiched between two layers of Class 'O' polyurethane foam with a white reinforced PVC film on the outer surface.

It is designed for use in small craft where there is a combined requirement for sound absorption and sound insulation to improve passenger and crew comfort.

It is available in standard size sheets, with or without a self-adhesive backing or can be die-cut to size and shape.

Exhaust/Silencer Jackets

Thermos Exhaust and Silencer Jackets are tailor made using long strand glass or rock fibre, typically encapsulated in combinations of glass or silica coated fabrics.

knitted wire mesh hot face barrier may be incorporated to ensure integrity. Jackets may also incorporate lightweight stainless steel on the inner face as an alternative. Edges may be bound and sewn using PTFE threads. A wide range of fixings and fastenings can be incorporated into the jackets including straps and buckles, Velcro, hooks, eyelets and draw strings.

Thermos Exhaust and Silencer Jackets are designed for high temperature applications or wherever there is a requirement for insulation to be removed and re-fitted at frequent intervals. Performance requirements for thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, personnel protection or a combination of all, dictate specification.

Applications:
Cars, buses, lorries, railway carriages, construction and materials handling equipment and large scale marine applications

MelaTech Foam

MelaTech is an open cell, melamine foam. It is lightweight, flexible, easy to handle and does not flame when exposed to heat.

It is designed for use in both thermal and acoustic insulation applications.

MelaTech is available in sheets, die-cut to size and shape or profiled. It can be faced one side or totally enclosed in a wide range of materials to meet specific performance requirements. MelaTech can be supplied with a self-adhesive backing if required.

AbFoam

AbFoam is an open cell polyurethane foam specifically designed to absorb noise over a wide range of frequencies.

There are two grades available, AbFoam F is a general purpose acoustic foam and AbFoam NF has a Class 'O' fire rating. Both grades are available in a wide range of thicknesses with a variety of facings and self-adhesive backing if required.

FibreForm

FiberForm is manufactured from a specially formulated mix of high and low melt, non-irritating, water repellent polyester fibres.

It is designed for use in thermal and acoustic insulation applications. FiberForm can be supplied in sheets, die-cut to size and shape or moulded into three dimensional shapes. It can be faced one side with a range of surface finishes

CoustiLam

CoustiLam comprises a range of composite products manufactured from polyurethane foam with a lead or polymeric barrier.

Products are available with various surface finishes to suit a wide range of applications.

CoustiLam provides high sound transmission loss with sound absorbing characteristics thereby giving an acoustic lining material with exceptional insulation properties.
