Jewellery Quarter Redevelopment Initiative

The Live/work initiative aimed to regenerate Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter by encouraging the re-use of old and abandoned industrial buildings.

The development involved the conversion of a Grade II listed building, previously used as workshops by William H Hasler, famous for manufacturing silverware and jewellery for Liberty & Co into six loft style open plan live/work units and two B1 office units.

H&H Acoustic Consultancy Division was commissioned to provide Building Regulations Part E design advice with regard to the separating walls and floors in addition to a scheme of Sound Insulation Testing to ensure compliance with the regulations.
