project involved an assessment of the room acoustics for the communal
lounge areas at the proposed Medium Secure Unit at Arnold Lodge,
Leicester. The technical review involved assessing the architectural
plans in order to calculate and predict levels of reverberation
in the areas. It also offered design advice to control reflections
in problematic areas. |

Travel Inn, Nottingham East Midlands Airport
This project assessed the potential noise impact from local environmental
noise to the guidance contained within BS8233: 1999. A background
noise survey was performed to detail the prevailing acoustic environment
including ambient noise sources such as road traffic noise from
the nearby A453 as well as air traffic noise from the nearby airport.
Design advice was included and noise mitigation measures were suggested. |
