schools. For many projects outline and detailed design advice was also
sought.

Working as part of the design team in order to select an appropriate ceiling
system for the teaching areas and sports hall. Following a daytime noise
survey a desktop assessment was performed in order to review the performance
of the sound insulation of the building envelope; sound insulation between
teaching areas; and reverberation in the main areas.

Lodge Medium Secure Unit, Leicester
This project involved an assessment of the room acoustics for the
communal lounge areas at the proposed Medium Secure Unit at Arnold Lodge,
Leicester. The technical review involved assessing the architectural plans
in order to calculate and predict levels of reverberation in the areas.
It also offered design advice to control reflections in problematic areas.
Premier
Travel Inn, Nottingham East Midlands Airport
This project assessed the potential noise impact from local environmental
noise to the guidance contained within BS8233: 1999. A background noise
survey was performed to detail the prevailing acoustic environment including
ambient noise sources such as road traffic noise from the nearby A453
as well as air traffic noise from the nearby airport. Design advice was
included and noise mitigation measures were suggested.

of noise levels to residential properties from infilling activities within
the chalk pit. Recommendations to ensure noise and vibration levels do
